You remind me of my distant cousin, Sam/smile. My daughter said the other day I have strong opinions, which I do. So, it is a paradox (for many good and valid reasons) why I am a non-partisan in a storm of activism. On the horizon, I sense there is a looming event horizon that we should all be focused on. The coming AI race with China and the question of AI alignment is no joke. When my thoughts in the evening drift, I think of this thing which will upend all of life. The incipient Intelligence Explosion in 2027 holds my attention, not so much other matters.
